Choices We Must Make

Be still here. An endless lesson to be learned. My heart is fragmented into a half dozen different parts and I mentally jump storylines of what my life could look like, feel like, had I made different choices and said yes to other people, to other parts of myself. It is not wrong to wish for everything you wanted out of this life. And it doesn’t make feelings lesser if you must travel alone to do right by what your heart begs to see this lifetime through.

One of the few people I know by name in this town, tells me he just visited New York and when his plane was touching down here on the island he thought to himself “aw, hell, I don’t want to land”- and I feel the echo within me, always, in every place so far.
